What are Hopi ear candles?

These are hollow tubes, traditionally used by the North American Indians, made from organically grow flax, extracts of honey, beeswax and herbs. They provide a non-invasive treatment of the ears which is used to treat a variety of conditions.

How do they work?

When lit the candles have a slight suction action, gently drawing out impurities. This sets up a vibration which gently massages the eardrum, regulating pressures inside the ear.

The flow of air creates a circulation of concentrated vapour, soothing, calming and protecting any irritated areas. Most impurities or deposits are carried away though the candle “chimney”, some wax may still work its way to the surface 24-48 hours after treatment.

Therapy includes a head and face massage to improve blood and lymph drainage.

What conditions can they be used for?

Though results differ from person to person many people have benefited with: -

Cleaning out some excessive (non-impacted) wax in the ears

Cleaning out yeast and dispelling fluid build-up
